DCE was awarded the tender for civil engineering consultancy services for the balance of Development Victoria's Riverwalk Estate in late 2016.
In the time since the appointment, DCE has commenced design of 300 lots of the circa 1400 remaining lots for the development, and provided strategic advice for a subsequent 600+ allotments.
In addition to the subdivision works, significant infrastructure works are underway including the extensive open space floodway works incorporating a series of bio retention systems for Melbourne Water, culverts and associated structures, and the upgrade of the intersection of Old Geelong Road and Newmarket Road, formalising the entry to the estate.
Further infrastructure works are in the planning phase including the design of the 2.5km Acoustic Wall along the Princes Freeway, the intersection of Old Geelong Road & Alfred Road, and the balance of the 1.5km open space drainage reserve.
In light of the strong market conditions, approximately 300 lots per year are planned to be delivered to support the development of the Local Town Centre and associated community facilities.
Through the use of High Definition Drones and 360º cameras, DCE provides a unique service to keep clients, and in turn, the residents of the Riverwalk Estate informed of progress through regular construction updates.
